Marlene’s Wavellite Search Stops at a Login Screen

That afternoon, Marlene writes “wavellite” at the top of a page. Beneath it: aluminium phosphate, radiating crystals, hidden veins—things to investigate, not details to pretend she has seen.

The search leads to a Facebook photo page. The page leads to a login screen. There are language choices and an invitation to sign up, but no readable mineral description. The crystals, if pictured beyond that door, remain beyond it.

She nearly writes “delicate,” then deletes it. An adjective is not a viewing pass.

Instead, Marlene records the result: “Source inaccessible without login. No mineral details verified here.”

The afternoon has produced no glittering specimen for her post. It has produced a useful line in her notes: where the evidence stops. She leaves that line visible.
